All The Israelites From Coming

To The Mountain Top

The Ban

And God said to me, “No other person shall come up to the mountain. Not even sheep, goat or other animals that go there to feed, to stay alive and live well. All have to be removed. None of them shall be there present, for complete silence and quietness and holiness. Myself, the God Almighty, Yahweh, the Lord of the Hosts, shall come down to the mountain.” Anything that is not clean and holy does not stay close to God or in His presence.

The Reasons Why

When Holy Moses went up to the mountain top, to get the Ten Commandments, God banned the Israelites from going to the mountain. God did not want the Israelites to see the still body of Holy Moses, because the Israelites would think that Holy Moses was dead. The Israelites did not know anything about astral travel, visits to heaven or suspended animation.

God also banned the animals from coming to the mountain, to feed, in order to avoid defilements, distractions and disturbances.
